A little more than a decade after inception, The Blade has become the SCJGA's premiere junior event.

The Blade Junior Golf Classic has surpassed $1 million in charitable donations!

Who would have ever thought that a junior golf tournament could have such a huge impact of the lives of the youth in the state of SC? The 18th Annual Blade Junior Golf Classic, with the generous support of Jay and Jan Haas and many other corporate and individual sponsors, eclipsed the million dollar mark in donations to charity! These charities include Greenville Children's Hospital, Camp Courage, SC Junior Golf Foundation, and the First Tee of Greenville. In 2017, The Blade is excited to announce that the Kellie Rynn Academy will be the beneficiary of this year's tournament.

Over the past 18 years, The Blade has had the support of Jay and Jan Haas, numerous volunteers, the SCJGA, Thornblade Club, and the best junior golfers in the state to become the premier junior tournament in the state. Past participants of The Blade have included PGA tour winners Ben Martin, Bill Haas and Scott Brown, LPGA 2 time runner-up Kristy McPherson, Web.com Tour winners Mark Anderson and Kevin Kisner, USGA Public Links Champion Corbin Mills, USGA Women's Amateur runner-up Brandi Jackson, and LPGA Tour golfer Austin Ernst.
