Past Results

The Blade was conceived after a visit to the Players Championship in Hartsville.  It was only Austin Reeves’ second junior golf tournament. His dad and Thornblade Club member, Rob saw the opportunity, the need and he proclaimed, “We gotta do this!”

A little more than two decades later, The Blade has become the SCJGA’s premiere junior event. Reeves, joined by more than 500 volunteers, has created something special. To date some 3500 kids have played The Blade and the tournament results read like a who’s who in junior golf; 175 of them going on to compete at the college level. Players like Bill and Jay Haas Jr, Kevin Kisner, Ben Martin, Andrew Kovak, Austin Ernst, Wesley Bryan, Lauren Stephenson, Bryson Nimmer, Jacob Bridgeman and Carson Young.
